This is a SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE for folks who love to ride their horses. It is dedicated to anybody who owns or loves horses! It is intended to be FUN, ENTERTAINING, INFORMATIVE, EDUCATIONAL and a cyber COMMUNITY for us 'people of the horse'.

This site is non-intrusive -- Use it as much or as little as you want. You are under no obligation. Participate in the things that interest you; ignore those that do not. It is non-soliciting - You will not receive email offers or any requests for personal information or money. If you do, and it can be attributed to your use of this site, please let Ed know immediately. Set up a 'My Page' and Profile -- This should be the first thing you do to take full advantage of the site and network with others who share interests similar to yours. Upload your favorite Photos, Videos and Events -- Share these items so others in our community can enjoy. Everybody wants to see photos of people enjoying their horses! Join or Start Groups! -- Visit the various groups and join those that share your horse interests. Actually, you should join all of the Groups on this site. That way, you'll be sent an email when a member makes a post. You can also create your own group(s) if you have an area of wide appeal and it is not listed. New groups require approval by the Administrator. Promote Your Local Club(s) and Area Horse Events -- Share with us any news and events from your area by posting a Blog or Event. Also, if your local clubs are seeking new members, post the membership dues and application. You might even consider creating a GROUP especially for your club if you feel there is sufficient interest/numbers here. THIS SITE SUPPORTS ALL HORSE ENDEAVORS IN THE STATE, especially the mission and goals of membership-based organizations. Invite Member Friends -- Visit the members area and look at the profiles of some of our members. Invite those that appeal to you, or have common interests, to become your friend on the site. See your 'My Page' for instructions on how to do this. Invite Outside Friends to Join -- If you enjoy the site the odds are your friends who are not members will as well. Invite others to join us. Email the site's URL to all your horsey friends and ask them to visit with us.

Be Social! -- This is a social network so be social -- within reason and within certain boundaries, of course! Read member profiles and reach out to others by "befriending them". Don't be reluctant to send a Friend Request to anybody on the site. Who knows? You just might find a great trail riding buddy.

Sending and Replying to Member Email -- Feel free to use the site to send emails to fellow members. Emails sent to another member will go directly to them. To reply to that email you will need to log onto the site and go to your 'My Page'. If you simply hit reply in your email client the message will not get to the member.

The Illinois Trail Riders Association -- We are not legally affiliated with this Association but wholeheartedly support their mission and programs. Many of us are members! We are the Trail Riders of Illinois Network. We are not a chartered organization or club. We are simply an online social network with a similar sounding name.
